Yes you can, but they have to let through 70% vlt. You cant go any darker or you will fall foul of new mot regulatons

Problem being that most car windows let through 72-75% VLT, so even a 5% tint may take you over the legal edge

Is it worth it... you have an accident and effectivly you've no insurance... this could lead to you being bankcrupt from paying out legal cost and the like should you be missfortunate enough to have a to-do...

Example... i pulled out of my mates street @ night, looked right 400 yds a car was coming just as i moved caught a glims of something shine in the street lights... breaked hard Wooooshhhhh,,, nutter on a scooter just missed the end ogf the bonnet by about an inch... no lights... now if i'd have had dark tints then no way would i have seen the glint... result very very dead young lad on a scooter... not technicaly my fault but **** me would that take some getting out of if you had tints...

MMm makes you think...

i caught said you lad up and gave him a right talking to, lost 5 mates on bikes so i think he listened///

I had the fronts and rears done on my car, got stopped by police, told to remove the fronts as illegal, took car to Pentagon glass tech and had the fronts taken out and replaced with the latest legal tint, i have to say it is not that 'tinted' but it stops the car from having that definate split of very dark rears and clear fronts which can look a bit odd (not meaning to insult anyone, just my opinion).
