Default Newbie - Average price of a 02 STi Prodrive ?

Looking into buying one and wondered if someone could offer any advice.

Seen a decent low mileage example for sale and prices from parkers guide dont seem to match those on sale through autotrader etc. parkers have the car valued at about 1.5/2k under what they are up for ?

Car is an 02 STi Prodrive in blue with 29k miles, good condition.
What would you guys expect to pay for this?

Thanks for any help

Thanks. Even more confused now lol.

Its currently up for £17995 but think i could get it for £17k. Sounds like thats still too much then?

So many different version out its hard to get a good value on it.

Ive seen another, 02 STi Prodrive with engine upgrade to 305 BHP but has 47k miles and thats up for £16999. Personally would prefer the lower mileage for same price

If it's from a stealer it will be way over priced. I've seen 03 facelift STI's going for 18K on here.

Bought mine for £16995 9 months ago at a dealer. At that time most were on forecourts for £18995,So with nine months depretiation 16k or less should be acheivable

Hi,
These prices are way too high (although probably what you will pay at a stealer).

I tried to sell my car on here

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=401125

It really, really was immaculate........

Only one viewer, I could not be bothered with Autotrader & ended up px ing at my local dealer against a Spec B at way less than I was asking....... (about £14k)

He sold it in 48 hours for about £17k......

Do yourself a favour & buy one privately for £14 - £15k you should have a bit of warranty left & can extend so why buy from a dealer?

By the way - they are one of the great cars!......

Just remember servicing and Warrany's are extra with a Dealer thats normally a full 12 month's service. MOT, Guaranty and Warranty close to £2k's worth. so sometime private sale isn't always cheaper

IMHO

Steve that was a really nice STi you had for sale and for a good price!

I'll see if i can get the price down further. Going to see it on Saturday and will make a decision then to go with it or not. Car is from a friend of the family so will be a private sale and will have to sell mine first, but i think the guy will keep hold of it for me as he's not in a rush to sell.

Thanks for all the people letting me know of theirs for sale If i sell mine and decide against this one i've seen i may be back in touch with the people who PM'd me
