EBC Discs.......always this noisy.....?
Evening all, I've just fitted grooved/dimpled EBC discs and redstuff ceramic pads to my 96 uk wagon that has subaru 4-pot calipres and they are BLOODY noisy.
It sounds like a playing card in the spokes of a bicycle wheel, constant ticking noise when driving and really speeds up to a constant noise when under braking.
Anyone else experiencing this ?
Any suggestions, brakes have ben checked and ARE correctly fitted.
It's starting to **** me off now.
Si.

I've got the same steup on mine and they are pretty quiet, Skoosh.
I've heard of a couple of problems with the wear indicator shim being bent and catching on the disc. Is the noise coming from all round or just off one disc? Maybe that's the cause of the problem?

EBC discs are shocking crap quality.
Black Diamond seem to be bloody good recently. Ive not heard any bad reviews from any friends or anyone running them. They won 3 awards last year and seem to perform so well!

Braking was ok, nothing spectacular. Replaced them with ebc groove discs and red stuff ceramic pads. Now have much more confidence under hard braking (when they are warmed up!) and brake dust is non-existant.
