Default WRX towbar - what does it weigh

I received a second hand genuine subaru towbar recently (for my 03 WRX) - the one with the removable tow hook. I didnt have a scale handy so I couldnt weigh it before it was fitted. Feels like 20+kgs! Anyone know the exact weight?

Did it have any instructions with it ? I can't seem to get the key out of mine when it's on.

I'm not surprised about the weight, the hitch part is also very heavy.

My key works fine. I'm curious as to the weight of the entire thing. Felt like a ton when I was carrying it. 8-)

Ram the arm up into it hard, then pull up and back on the end. The arm should lock into place, the **** should turn, and the red band should be replaced by the green band on the indicator. Then simply turn the key and extract.

Pretty much it - I had to do some wresting to get the hang of it myself. Any ideas on weight yet? Any guesses?

Cheers will give it a go.

MurrayZA, there's a thread in wanted at the moment, a guy is offering one for sale on it, you might be able to get him to weigh it for you.
