22b pangs
I've got it again!
Seriously thinking about a 22b again. Anybody else made a jump from a P1 to a 22b? Won't be used as an everyday car. Quite interested in the uk type, but is the extra premium over the greys worth it? How much is it to renew a Subaru warranty on a 22b?

The 22b is very similar to the sti typeRs in lots of respects id imagine. I used to have a typeR. Ive never driven a 22b, so I cant comment on the differences between the P1 and the 22b.
It really depends on what you want really, for me the 22b is the ultimate (and Ive still yet to drive one!), and Ive had a P1 for 4 years.

They have a slightly wider track and flared arches (look really cool)
there's other stuff too, but take a look at www.22b.com

chalk and cheese.
much wider track, different suspension set up, much more grip, wider tyres, quick rack, short ratio box like in type r if you go for a non uk.
not a big price difference between grey and uk now.
ask chuck on renewal price of warranty.
only worth buying if you intend to hang on to it in my opinion.
worth keeping.
price doesn't seem to fall below 20k.
I would have a word with colin tinto about his, for sale on 22b.com.
ps. email or pm moray mackenzie about your account on 22b.com, please don't just sign up a new account each time. he will be able to sort it for you.

Warranty is same as all scoobs, this year it jumped from around £600 to £1233!!! I am not bothering renewing now. *gulp*
UK car advantage - dealer support in getting parts, makes it simple to fix, also some bits are actually cheaper from Subaru UK than from importers since genuine parts are soo hard to come by.
I also do lots of miles in mine so prefer the gearing day to day, however the crazy short gearing of the JDM car is a real hoot...so depends where you want to compromise.
They are difficult to sell as so specialist, so be prepared to either spend alot of time trying to sell on, or take a big hit to sell quickly (or just keep forever)
