Question WRX INSURANCE / TRACKERS?

HELLO, I'M LOOKING TO GET AN NEW WRX NEXT WEEK. MY INSURANCE COMP. NEED A TRACKER TO BE FITTED TO COVER AGAINST THIEF.

IM 27 AND ITS LOOKING TO BE AROUND £800 PER YEAR TO INSURE.

BUT THAT’S WITH A TRACKER.

DIRECT LINE REQUEST A 24h TRACKER WHICH ALERTS POLICE IMMEDIATELY. IT SEEMS SOME CHEEP ONES ARE NOT ON THERE LIST.

WHO DO MOST PEOPLE INSURE THERE WRX's TO?

PLEASE ADVISE ME IF THERE IS ANY CHEEP INSURANCE WHICH DO NOT REQUIRE A TRACKER.

I've previously had insurance for mine with Liverpool Victoria and they don't require tracker.

I renewed today with A-Plan and they've not asked for a tracker and were cheaper than LV too.

I am with Royal and Sun, no tracker required and my premium is around £720 fully comp iirc.

Fluff'

PS, Mine has a tracker retreive fitted but to transfer ownership and to resubscribe to the service costs 4 times the discount the insurance company offer for it. Oh, and 2 weeks on tracker have still not sent me an info pack and where nothing short of f%cking ignorant when I spoke to them on the phone.

Makes you think if they can't be arsed trying to make a sale, they can't be arsed finding your car if it goes...........

I was with churchill last year £880 and the renewal came up and this year they asked for a tracker and £940, so politely told them where to go, when i got hold of norwich union they don't require a tracker and they only wanted £514 per year, so owning a scooby became alot cheaper for me.
UK MY97 turbo wagon.
