Power question
Ok Im going to ask a very simple question what does it feel like when you stamp your foot down in a Scoob
I have driven a fewTurbos in my time and then moved on to 16v country not ver exciting but hay what you going to do when nobody at the time was making Turbos that you could afford to buy
Anyway in all my time I still have yet found a car that pushed you in the seat like Ren 5 GT Turbo
it was a 1.4 pocket rocket and you felt the Turbo push you in to those seats and that was as standard
So my question is will a Scoob WRX or STi do the same will you feel the power push you into your seat as you put your foot down..?
And how much does it make you grin when you do so...?
Ok over to you lot now

A driver is braced for whatever he's about to do (heavy breaking, acceleration etc) and so you don't really notice the forces acting on you. It's more interesting to get a passenger's perception of a car - my father-in-law **** himself today round some country lanes - he thought it was quick

I've had a Renault 5 GT turbo and a Saab 2.3 full turbo. Both push you back in the seat, but absolutely nothing like my classic STI does. Still grinning nearly a year on, but yes, you do get used to it, to a degree.

I would say that some of the feeling of being pushed back in your seat can be partly down to a non-smooth power delivery.
The R5 is a tiny little motor and the boost picks up quite rapidly. If you look at the speed figures between the two (standard) cars, then obviously the Impreza wins hands down.
The refinement of the cars nowadays helps lose some of the exhilaration when putting your foot down. When I had my Mini running a Turbo, I thought nothing else except a motorbike could give you that thrill. How things have changed
