Hi Jason,

Dont know about AXA, but have you tried Tom at Schofield Insurance? You wont find better..
He is known as Rum on the board, you can do a quick search and find his number.

I am with AXA through A-Plan -

No complaints although the only real contact with them was a claim for a new screen for my Imported GTB, small hole, but sorted out a new windscreen very promptly with no problems

£575 fully comp, 2 drivers

Angry

I insured my new MY00 through Bennetts with AXA on 2nd June. I still have not received my insurance documents. I have also had to remind Bennetts every month for a cover note (with an average hold time listening to annoying classical music of 30 minutes). I spoke directly to AXA customer services over a week ago and they said I was insured okay and they would send out the documents.....Still waiting!

Not impressed with service.

Price was good though - £640, new MY00, 31 years old (spouse 32), 9 years no claims, East Kent

Well I took the plunge thru Bennets Elite.

£646 East Anglia 2 Drivers. Me with points for speed. Full no claims. Unmodified car.

I guess I'll have wait and see about the service.

Nearest Quote were with NFU (£715).

Interestingly the policies go up 20% tonight so if I'd taken the policy to-morrow it would have cost me £800 quid or so.

Thanks for the comments.

Exclamation

Sorry to drop a fly in you ointment but I am trying to claim from them at the moment.

Given recent posts I will just be factual.

-my claim form lost + original witness statements lost despite being recorded as delivered to them by Postie.

-letter sent subsequently by them accusing me of not filling in and submitting the claim form (grrrr!!)

-'helpline' difficult to get through to.

-by there own admission a 3 week backlog of post.

I will buy my insurance elsewhere next time ( I want top service for £1300!)

AXA with A Plan too. £690 F/C. 28, married, Herts, UK MY99.

A Plan seem sound, no interaction with AXA as yet....

I'm with AXA through Wilsons.

£550.00 Fully Comp, me 29, Scotland, zero no claims as it's all assigned to my other vehicle (they gave me 60% introductory), claim last year for vandalism, 3 points.

The only bad thing is that they will not send me a certificate, they only send out monthly cover notes, small problem though.

I'm with AXA through A Plan after Norwich Union decided they did'nt want anyones business

AXA beat the cheapest quote by circa £500 - mine costs £1300 on an sti5 - closest was Barclays Direct at about £1800
Privelege quoted £2350 with an £850 excess - I have never found them competitive - nor does the girlfriend - 27 clean license - cheap car!

My cover note ran out on the 28 August - but why should I care - I've paid the insurance - so I'm covered - I'm not going to waste time chasing - if I get a producer then A plan can sort it out

Interestingly Bennets wont insure imports

Wilsons would not cover imports

I could have got a quote for £900 from Hyperformance but the car is too modified
