buying a impreza sport 1999 ...advise wanted
a friend of mine has been looking at buying a sport as he cant afford the insurance / fuel etc of the turbo model.
the car he has been looking at is a '99 model with 54k miles and FSH
its from a dealer in circencester i believe..
is there much to go wrong with these cars , if so what ??
hes been told he will get around 30mpg in it , is that feasable ??
any advice appreciated...
cheers

hi
i i will say is that if i did not drive my folks RA i would say that they are good fun to drive and go quite well!
i have just brought a sport, i and i love it. Go's very nicely, good on fuel (200 miles plus on a tank of fuel) and cheap to insure (group 13), parts though are roughly the same price, got a quote of £350 for a cambelt change and that was the same price he charged my folks who have a RA.
the 4wd is the same i believe, i am not aware of any problems they suffer from, over all they are a cracking little car!

Any advise for the sport can be got at www.imprezasport.net , a site dedicated to the sport with a few turbo owners to help things along. You will get 30 on a motorway run but if your driving is around towns and dual carriageways you will be looking at 24-26 mpg at best. And they are a bloody good car
