Thieving little *****
Hi all just wanted to see if anyone had any tips on keeping my lockable valve caps on my wheels.Had a nice set of chrome ones(not lockable) nicked some time ago, so I invested in a set of lockable ones.Went out to the car this morning and hey presto they're gone. They've not been forced cause the thread on tha valve isn't damaged, so the little F#**ers must've had the tool to remove them.Any tips please.

Cool until the git with the bleeding fingers keys every panel on your car.
I had a few sets of polished caps that went walkies, after I fitted some locking ones the little buggers actually superglued them all on for me. Not a problem on 3 but I couldn't get the 4th off and managed to destroy the valve in the process. Binned them all before they did something worse.
Knock it on the head and just stick with the std black ones.

Had a nice set on the girlfriend car, her dad poped out to his own car and caught the little buggers doing it, two kids about 8 years old. Why are you doing that are they yours to take he asked, "no" But my mate collects them got a big bag full.

you can buy a glue , very close to super glue, put a bit on the caps and it will stay wet /live till its touched.
then its no letting go.
then you can interigate the little beggers. with bamboo shoots

Ive never had this problem before. Must be because Ive only had the black plastic things
TBH theresmuch worse things that can go missing from a car. Trying phoning up your local dealer and asking for a P1 badge, make sure youre sitting down when you do

I've got metal stems on mine - they can't cut those Kwik-fit will fit them instead of the normal ones if u ask. Caps thankfully havent been nicked in the 6 months I've had them (non-locking).

Had my Sti side wing badge nicked the day before. Cost £27 each from GGR.
I am either going to remove the one that is left or buy some cheap copies from ebay. £5 each
ps go for the black plastic jobbies.

These do work, mine used to get nicked all the time.

You get a special tool to remove them, and the outside turns as if they're coming off, giving you time to run out and give the little ******* a kick up the ****!

Little wee buggers
Had my car 3 months, it came with posh valve caps (MY03 WRX) and I live in Warrington and work a lot around liverpool and Manchester. Car never been touched at all.
I am working in Glasgow this week, have left the WRX in the Charing cross car park, semi secure with camera's etc and in 48 hours the "soapdodgingweedgiebastarts" have had all 4 valve caps, and 2 wheel centres away off the standard alloys.
I would not mind if it was parked in a dingy corner of the car park but it's parked outside the fecking parking attendants office door, where all the traffic wardens "live".

Had 2 of mine nicked a couple of weeks ago - must be on a BMX somewhere!
Wouldn't care but the little ***** must have been tooled up cos I'd tightened them with a 8mm ring spanner. Only problem with that was the dealer knacked a valve getting one of them off at service time...
