Unhappy

I have just looked a my retension certificate for my personal number plate and noticed that that it has to be retained again before the 28th of August!
As this is a bank holiday i wont be able to talk to anyone about it till the 29th.
Does anyone know if this will be alright or will i lose the plate?!!
Any advise would be gratefully recieved.
Cheers...JAMES

Out of interest, what happens if your vehicle is nicked? Do you still get to retain the plate for a new vehicle?

Thumbs up

had a private place 4 a good number of years now and not had
1. car nicked
2. written off etc
thankfully;
but i think that as the plate is YOURS you can cancel it from one car and transfer it onto the next no problem! as you hold the certificate for it.

To be on the safe side, for any personal number plate. Write to your insurance company in advance (not after it has been written off !)and advise them the plate is your property and does not form part of the salvage if the car is written off. There can be no arguments then.
