Correct me if i am wrong ....

There seems to be a bit snobbishness up here between Turbo's WRX's STI's and standard Imprezas.............

Had my classic wagon for nearly 4 years now... do roughly 20k year(use it for work) and very very rarely do i get a wave from other Scoobs......

Bought a WRX 52plate for the wife to drive about in (me at the weekends) and we are always getting flashed waves etc.............

feel free to comment and add your own thoughts.............
ps Classic is more modded than the WRX ---- Go Figure...........

Nor from me but I pass two wagons most days on my way back from work, wave and get nothing back - inverted snobbery?

 

i find mainly wagon drivers dont wave back, come to the thinking its becouse there mostly oaps that drive them , so ive gave up now!

 

I wave to anyone & everyone.....

 

I wave at every scooby I see...... very few wave back.... Not snobbery but a lot of scooby drivers won't know about the scooby wave which would be the reason they look at me as if I'm nuts when I flash my lights and wave at them...

The only snobery I see seems to come from people who think that if your scooby can't compete with Schumacher's F1 Ferrari then you don't deserve to be classed as a member of the Scooby community!!!!

funny you say that.

I used to get loads of waves in my std UK saloon and since it has a meaner look (with STi5 rear spoiler, P1 front spoiler, 17"s, lowered) I seem to get very very few.

Same here. I've also been known to wave my arms like a madman, lean out of the window, roof surf etc... to get a wave or flash from a fellow Scooby owner!

 

...and then you realise its a Toyota Corrola!

Imprezas are SO much more popular/common now; theyre much much cheaper than they used to be new and theyre regularly bought as company cars or even by people who are more concerned with their appearance than the vehicle its self. Times have changed, so have the numbers of Imprezas about and the profile of the drivers.....
