Question What's worth more?

I know of a very low mileage immaculate classic uk turbo which might be for sale in the near future.
The thing is, it currently has a PPP fitted. But is the car worth more with the PPP fitted, or with it removed and presented as an original and completely standard car?

Thanks.

Question

Probably depends who you are selling to...

If would say that an MY00 + PPP is worth an extra £500-£1,000, but I already own one so I'm biased !!

However, the main factor for the everyday driver would be the insurance and the fuel economy. I live in London and I can get insured on a standard UK with numerous companies for around £600 (fully comp + PNCD). However, I have 9 years NCD and I am lucky if I can even find a company who will quote let alone give me a decent quote with the PPP.

If you are paying £35k for a car then £1-2k for insurance doesn't matter, but a decent UK classic with low mileage can be had for around £7-8k. Who in their right mind is going to pay £1-2k a year in insurance for a £8k car!

Mine is due to be sold and I will try to sell it as is, but if the insurance issue becomes a problem, the PPP will be stripped off and sold separately...

Mark.
