At a proper specialist you can get the Prodrive recommended settings which will tranform you car. Elite in Rainham charge about £65-75 I think.

Did you get Prodrive settings, how did the car feel afterwards.... I have found even the short drive around the corner back onto the A13 amazing!

Try ...... www.northeasterntyres.co.uk They have a place at York and did my alignment to Prodrive settings , about £80.00 I think
I chose to stick with standard road settings. The guys at Elite confirmed that tyre wear will be compromised with the camber of the Prodrive settings.
Would have liked to give it a go, but my car budget does not allow for even more regular tyre purchases!!

Thats strange because my tyres wore more rapidly, specifically the front inside edge, with factory settings. Since having Prodrive settings the wear is more even across the tyre and certainly getting more miles before replacing. The car feels so much better, especially no more tramlining and understeer at roundabouts.
Regards,
John
IIRC the prodirve setting have high negative camber... This will casue the inside edges of the front wheels to wear when the car is driven in a straight line, but gives better tyre contact during conrering.
If you drive a lot of motorway miles then avoid Prodrive settings, if you do a lot of twisty A road/B road driving then the prodive settinmg should not adversly effect tyre wear...

John,
I presumed that the negative camber would wear the inside of the tyres, and the guys at Elite confirmed that their experience would suggest the same.
Certainly interesting that you are getting more even wear. Perhaps I should consider it, as the new age certainly seems to understeer more than the classic I had previously.
Thanks for the info...

Where can you find those prodrive settings?
i've asked my specialist if he could get his hands on them but the answer was no.
Another reason tho move out of belgium

4 wheel aligment £47.50
Camber adjust per corner x 2 £18.90
Castor adjust per corner x 2 £18.90
Alignment labour(tape up and centralise front sway bar) £14.25
Total bill plus VAT was £116.91
not cheap if they have to make adjustments? Is it!

I had my car checked, and slight adj to factory settings, as it is generally believed that the factory set-up has huge tolerances. I wanted to try the Prodrive set-up, as apparently it improves steering feel, and perhaps assists with understeer. However, they said that the Prodrive settings will wear the inner edges of the front tyres more quickly, so I decided to stick with stock settings.
A search will explain in more detail, as there are many who have run both settings, and some who have said that tyre wear has NOT increased!
The garage doing the adj should also advise, and should know the settings required. All the garages I called before I decided on Elite knew all about the Prodrive settings etc.
