Default JUST A QUICKIE !! YES OR NO !!

Should i fit a FCD (fuel cut defender) to MY98 uk turbo ?


I ve got an electronic boost valve and boost cuts at about 1.0 bar..... have been told an FCD will cure this ...

Any help please as i should be having it fitted tomorrow ,...

Wink YES.....But.....

....you need a knocklink and AFR meter first to make sure the engine is happy with the higher boost. Knocklink detects detonation, AFR is Air to Fuel Ratio, this needs to be RICH on full boost or meltdown will occur. Do some searches on the above for more details. Hope this helps

Are you sure fuel cut is at 1 bar,i thought it was nearer 1.2 bar?
