Default How much is my STI 8 Eu worth?

Just taken the UK Legacy Spec B Estate for a test drive and loved it...only trouble is the dealer does not accept grey imports...

So... How much is my 2003 (52 plate) blob eye'd Eu STI worth with a private sale or trade in value?

mods include

Re-mapped by Bob Rawle
De-Cat downpipe
Prodrive B/Box
SECS 1004 (in dash top pod)
Knocklink
V ltd front splitter
Scott Lowe mud flaps
18" San Paulo's
Removable Bosal tow bar

Give John Price a call at Keith Price Subaru in Abergavenny, it may not be local to you, but they are very competitive on price and I have seen imports on their forecourt for sale.

You wont regret buying the Spec B, I don't miss my old STi at all.

Trade in you may well not be touched, unless you dont tell them what you've had done. In which case its a 15-16K car I would imagine. Lower than a ppp for sure.
Private its worth what you can get for it but got to be £17-18k if you can get a nibble

Have got Tiley's of Bristol looking at it later this week.... will see what they offer...

G00ner, what sort of mpg are you getting? the demo was averaging 17!
But I hope this is low due to it's current roll in life ...

Question

Is an EU car considered a "Grey Import"? I thought this only applied to cars imported from Japan, which need to meet UK road laws?

Mines averaging 25.2 at the min, I do about 700 miles a week on a mix of motorways and cross country routes.

The great thing for me about having a N.A car again is that you don't have to p1ss about looking for Optimax every time you need to fill up.

But once the car is registered with IM then surely it should be considered a UK car, albeit at lower value?

Thumbs up

EU is classed as a Parrellel import. I sold my EU WRX 01 2 months ago and they offered me 1k less than a UK car.

I would expect them to offer you approx 16.5-17k for your 02 blob eye.

I now have a Oct 03 STI PPP (10k mileage) and would expect no more than 18k for it. I bought it from a subaru garage for 20K 2 months ago.

Hope this helps!

The fact that is been re-mapped etc is a bad thing not a good thing as far as dealers are concerned. In their eyes it means its something un-recognisable. They would have based your car on a UK sti without PPP, now they will do the same but knock some cash off as its non standard......

Only got black because that was all the dealer had at the time, my fugly STi was black too.

My other Legacy was Silver, soooo easy to clean, new car is really hardwork, even with Meguires.

Trip computer/Navi is superb, just need a way to link up a Sony PSP to the display.

I'm waiting for Blitz UK to source me the new axle back twin mufflers

Well I can get them from the US for about $850, plus $200ish shipping, but technically they are for the USDM 2.5GT, I reckon they are the same as Spec B mufflers though.

I'm waiting for Blitz UK to give me a price and they in turn are waitng for the Blitz Over-Seas agent to give them a price.

I just hope that they are not as loud as my old Nur-Spec R!
