Question Bits 'n' Pieces

I have often wondered about this:-

Plenty of owners of new Imprezas take the CAT off their cars (maybe popping it back come MOT time?)

Plenty change the rear box for something louder

Plenty change all kinds of stuff from OE

Now, my question, where is all this stuff?

Are there garages full of OE new stuff in? like Back Boxes that have seen all of 100miles?

Just curious - and, when my backbox goes I will be in the market for that Subaru BackBox you have collecting dust in the corner!

Very true ...... when I bought the STi from new it was supplied with a full trust de-cat. I never bothered going back to pick up the standard exhaust. No idea where it ended up...

When you do any de-cat, is it an immediate fail on mot?

I have an MY01. Are any cats removable whilst still being able to pass an mot?

Captain ted - I think ONE can be removed and the car still pass

Clearly BOTH removed and you need a 'friendly' MOT station

Not done much to mine, but the bits are in the garage, to put back on the car if I sell it.
