Default P1 service costs against Uk classic ?

Thinking of gettin rid of MY 97 Classic and replacing it with P1. I know i will find a biggggg difference in perfomance. Whats the Service intervals for a P1 compared to my classic, cost of service etc.Im guessing theres not a lot in it thou. Dont care about fuel consumption , its a scoob so waste of time worrying about that one but ive wanted a P1 for ages and have decided to take the plunge..

I think its just the same ..............

You loose 2 doors and you can't tow your Speedboat/Jet-Ski with it - pretty pointless Impreza in my humble ...........

The P1 is completly different to drive than a standard turbo. Alot better IMO. I don't recall any major differences in service price's/intervals.

Have you had a look on P1WOC? Lots of helpfull advice to be had on there. (constructive advice, not pslewis style )

Oh no here we go again. Why is the P1 hated so much?
Seriously I'd like to know why I am considered an outcast, as a P1 owner.
I just found 19 WR1's for sale in the Trader this obviously means they are rubbish also.
Oh and there's 10 Lamborghini Murcielagos, you know what that means. Yes they are rubbish also.

You have pvt Hepy.

Mr Lord lewis OBE,MBE lol. Aint planning on towing boat, ski doo or CARAVAN. PMSL. You mentioned 2 doors only, ok fair enough but theres only wife and daughter. I know it wont lose as much money as buying a new Scoob. So im thinking better off with Low milage P1.

Arise Sir Pete.

Hiya Gastro .............. go on, let me .......

I just haven't seen the point of a P1 ..... its like a BMW, it SHOUTS, "Look at me, I'm a dick who wants a Scooby - wants to pay for the P1 badge - even though its a WORSE car"!!

Weird, ain't it? There sits a nice PRACTICAL Wagon Turbo ..... every bit as capable as a P1 ..... pots less money AND the RIGHT street cred

The street cred of a P1 is ..................... well, you know!!

Get a UK Classic with PPP fitted, Ive driven standard UK classic, P1, etc and my PPP MY00 Classic appeared to have more usable low down torque, which is lets face it real road driving conditions. P1 is lovely looking car though, but to be honest I would opt for an STI 6 Type RA if I wanted something racey.

No one shouts out their views on wagons. I personally see nothing wrong with them. Even my dad wants one. So why do you insist on shouting about p1's all the time? The comparison to the beemer is a new one though. Well done. BTW, What exactly is the right "street cred"?

Back to the topic.

Shropshire-Guy as you can see there are a few muppets about that don't, for what ever reason, like P1's. Personally I think you should make your own mind up. Once you've driven 1 you'll understand.

What is the point of your post Pete, other than to provoke - you bored?
He didn't ask what car he should get he asked the diferences in servicing costs. The next time your screening the forums for any P1 threads and someone is asking what they should get, P1 vs STi XYZ, then you can spout yer **** to your hearts content.

If I brought a P1 it would be ecutek remapped to 320+bhp. UK turbo wouldnt know which way it went.

Servicing costs and schedules are the same iirc.

I had forgotten all about the P1 actually, thats about how irrelevant it is in the Impreza History books.

It must be 3 years since I posted about the P1 - the P1 snobs have their own BBS, quite why they humble themselves to come on here baffles me!

I really can't - as much as I try - work out why anyone would pay MORE for LESS and thats what you do when you get a P1 ............. just trying to warn the lad off an expensive error!

51 for sale on AutoTrader, about 50 others available which are not in the Trader, out of what? 1000 built? 100 must have been scrapped by now which leaves 900.

Don't know about you - but, 100 cars for sale, out of a pool of 900, would worry me somewhat!

P1 hav bettter internals than UK models..so you can tune it to a higher state, better handling than the Jap imports and uk classics on british roads, and is the 2nd best looking Impreza IMHO (1st is 22B of cause )

It really peeves me that I can't tow a speedboat/jet-ski around the suburbs of my midlands hometown.

Oh well, another dream dashed.

Well, yes, Council-House Boy ............. I wouldn't expect you to have a JetSki or Speedboat

And maybe a P1 is just what you need to get to the working mans club and bingo hall, stopping off an the Off-licence and betting shop of course!!

Isn't your argument a tad pointless? Save it for another thread, you've killed this one anyway.
