Want to buy 1st subaru, which 1 STI/PPP ?
Hello all,
i'm looking at buying my first subaru, been doing my research and need some advice.
prop looking at 03 model , what is the main difference between the sti and ppp models ? so many variations that it is quite confusing, does the uk 300 come with the ppp as standard ? is it best to stick to a standard sti ( 03 model ) or go for uk 300 or even wrx with ppp ??
any advice would be most welcome before i take the plunge.
cheers
Matt

uk300 was basically a standard bug eye with different rear spoiler and some other meaningless add ons i think . ppp being an option.
You might like to post up how much money u have and whether youd like a warranty. What use you want the car for, ie tracking, weekend driving, commuting etc etc.

For your money you get Hella lens units which aren't colour coded or HID if my memory serves me right, front lip spoiler (again non colour-coded), colour-coded side skirts, 18in Oz wheels with 225/40/18 rubber, a very unique rear spoiler, twin tail pipe, blue alcantara trim, UK300 mats, and a numbered plaque on the centre sun visor. PPP is indeed optional.

To go for an assumption, I'd have thought that in most cases you're always better off aiming for a vehicle which has been designed to offer more power as it rolls off the production line. I'm sure some of the STi's mechanics must be different to that of a WRX..? VVT as an example..?
As a rule of thumb when it comes to buying cars, it's always best to get as much for your money as you can. If I was offered a WRX with PPP or an STi for the same money then I'd opt for an STi, given the differences in trim, engine spec. and other toys.
Maybe someone could post about the differences in engine spec. as I'd be really interested to know.
Jonts.
