It depends if you were speeding as well!
A speed camera take an image over the speed lines marked on the road. If you weren't speeding then the photo's will show that.
Good luck and hope things turn out ok.

Nope you'll be safe, the conviction is based on the two pictures which are taken. It'll be pretty obvious that the bike was the one speeding as it'll have travelled further in the time between the two pictures being taken.
In the very unlikely event you get an NIP, ask to see the pictures. But they must see this fairly often, so are probably used to it.

A similar thing happened to me last week in a 30 zone, the guy overtook me doing at least 50 on a single carriageway, and was flashed and he will get off scot free! Just hope they don't send me anything by mistake or it could be fun.
(PS: it was a police car )

I've gone through a camera at 30 in a 40, following a police car (who braked from 35 on seeing the camera - paranoid coppers or what?). Phoned the local nick, who put me through to a general helpline, who confirmed that they will check the pictures to prove (or otherwise) the offence first.
The more interesting thing might be proving it either way with a scamera van or handheld - as IIRC these just store one reading off their sensors?

Confused here, don't the speed cameras get a rear photo of the car ( well 2, to use the white lines on road to measure how far travelled in the fixed time between photos ) and bikes have to have a rear plate.
Why would it matter if there was no front plate on a bike?

if you ever get caught by the camera and they send you a letter saying they want driver licence details etc, dont sign it and send it back. when they send it back saying to sign it, dont sign it and send it back. thats the last you will hear from then and u wont get points because you havnt admitted it.
its a loop hole in the system. ive avoided points and fine 3 times and dad twice using this method.

As a biker there are not many more rewarding things than setting off as many cameras as possible so that someone else doesnt get a ticket...I beleive most are still on film basis...so waste the film...lower the money making machine......reduce the points scooby drivers incur....dam good system if you ask me.......

twicw happened to me where a van and car has overtaken setting off a Gatso, no problems.
Although if I had been doing +10% plus 1mph and therfore just under the theshold of setting the camera off at the time, I wonder what would happen then?
Best thing is bikes setting them off and not getting done due to number plate skimming the road, MCN had several pics from Police files of bikes at 140plus on the back wheel, they even had a total loony at 41 in a 30 on his front wheel doing a rolling stoppie!!.
Skill but braver and much dafter than I.

What bike have you got? - I bought the STI to give up the bike as I am a fair weather and it was not much good for the wife and kids.
Have to say I have still got it and although the STI is fun it can't compete for real dry weather thrills and performance.
RSV MIlle 52, loud Akra race pipe and down geared for even more VeeTwin grunt!!
Get the impression that many people on this site don't like (or envy) superbikes? I wouldn't have put them down as typical bike hating wally car drivers?
cheers
