Cool 2003 WRX STI Running Costs

Chaps

thinking of buying a 03 registered WRX STI Type UK, just wanted to know what the running costs are going to be like, as I only previously owned a Turbo 2000 1998.

Any figures for petrol, tyre wear, brake wear , etc would be very welcome.

Ta

thats heavy fuel use

80p a litre = 3.63 a gallon

44 / 3.63 = 12.11 gallons foer £44

200 for 12.11 gallons = 16.5mpg

250 for 12.11 gallons = 20.6mpg

so between 16.5mpg and 20.6 mpg

my 1st set of Toyo tyres lasted about 11k, 110 quid a corner

fuel: about 220 miles on 40 quid

front pads (OEM) are about 250 quid... I went for EBC reds at half that price

I suspect £44 is on SUL and you won't be getting that for 80p

With a good mix of sensible driving you will get 20 to 25 but it easy to drop below 20 if you want to play.

....also depending on the type of driving - mine is a daily commuter, heavy traffic, and I never see over 20mpg. That's a lot of Optimax! The flipside is that I'll get over 15k out of my Bridgestones.

Cool

I posted this last week on another thread.

Some interesting statistics for you.

Got the car 25/03/03

I have used 7526 litres, at a cost of £6256.96

I have travelled 32817 miles .

So that an average cost of 19p per mile, just for fuel

An average MPG of 19.82

Oh yes, onto (original Bridgstones, Goodyear F1 finished of on a trackday, Goodyear FI again, Toyo T1-S, currently Toyo T1-R) fifth set of tyres

So what does all this mean.
