BP Ultimate?
Just popped a tank of this into my STi UK today and blow me if it didn't tear out of the tank and roar out of the engine! This stuff's good!
But is it good for my engine? Always used optimax before, anyone else noticed improved urgency with BP ultimate?

ultimate unleaded is the best 97ron fuel. as its a uk car super unleaded is fine but ultimate is a little better. make sure the tests are the same though as a slight dip in temp will make the car feel quicker anyway

Ecu Specialist
Some comment's, I think I've probably mapped with all the avialble pump fuels and a large number of "exotic blends"
Ultimate does/can make a car detty, I rate it one step up from 95 ron in an Impreza, the most consistent SUL (97) that I can suggest is Esso or maybe Q8, avoid Texaco like the plague and also supermarket fuel.
Optimax is the "best", it does burn differently and so the ecu does need time to relearn however in a like for like scenario it will always allow more performance to be achieved. The ecu has fuel and ignition learing for off boost performance and so will need time to adjust in these areas, forcing an ecu reset will put ign back to average and kill the fuel learning, btw this is why a reset quite often exposes a maf problem, it will then relearn to suit a different fuel over the next few miles given varied driving conditions.
imo
