Default good deal?

Been offered a 93/94 K plate import for £4000, has 73000km on clock, in black looks great.
Is it a good deal and what should I be looking for?

The trouble with a car of this age now, is that it might be very cheap or extremely dear; so much depends on its condition. Is it newly imported? What was its grade at auction or was it from a docks auction (=****e!)? Has it been owned by a knowledgeable enthuiast or has it been ragged on supermarket unleaded by an eejit? Because so many ****e cars have come into the country via docks auctions now and the values have tumbled far too many cars are owned by eejits and a probably best avoided until youre a little more experienced.
