Question Should I buy classic or bugeye?

I've had 3 classics but now trying to decide between
1). a 98 Classic with 50k FSSH DGM and
2). a 51 Bugeye with 36k and FSSH, DBM.
Difference between the two cars is only £2000 but in its favour the 98 has leather interior.
Any opinions

I had the leather in my last scoob and it was excellent, good quality but hard wearing which is why I'm tempted towards the classic.
The bugeye is a 2001 WRX wagon.

I've had one and have the other, was never happy with the 98 - unless I was hooning about - and have never been unhappy with the 01.

Both are different cars, the classic is lighter thus slightly quicker, but quality lacks and you get 6 month service intervals (7.5k), bugeye is a different car again, less flex but heavier, more "grown up" but still enjoyable, not quite as quick standard but is better built and better quality, plus its 1 year service intervals (10k).
Ive owned both a classic scoob and a blob eye, i wont be buying another classic

Bugeye for comfort and build.

Classic for standard outright performance due to the slimfast diet.

Bit of a sweeping statement there senior AP. I wouldn't exactly say they are crap. Perhaps not as quick or handsome as the older cars but they are pretty heavy.

Scoobs are about going fast. 0-100 in 17 secs aint fast.

So, they may be a good car but with regards to what they were designed for they're crap.
