This is wot I do for a living, I have one system on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...736530420&rd=1
Hard Drive system with 4 day/night cameras and monitor, easy set up and everything you need.
I never suggest recording on your PC. What happens WHEN windows crashes.
I can also supply much cheaper cams that auto record on your Video.
PM me if interested.

I tested one very similar to these, very short range on the wireless link, plus very prone to interference.

Personally I would always put a hardwired one in, If you can run a telephone cable around the house then you can fit a hard wired one. I bought one of these wireless ones from ebay, delivered from Hong Kong (camera kit cost £1.00 Del. £19.95??) They work, just, but are more for temporary short range images, not really recording your car.
I don;t want to advertise on here, but if you PM me your e-mail address I will get some prices for various cameras to you.

i dont want to go up a big pole to to fit one myself to be honest lol
i went half way up it to paint as far as my ladders would reach and got a bit wobbly
a ton in his hand probably wouldnt sway him me thinks, when yopu have 1k in your hand every fri/sat/sunday due to a busy period you end up thinking anything up to 100quid is loose change (its really bizzare)
keep meaning to ring him anyway as i want the time lapse video case thing shifted from the floor where its bolted down, and i cant get in without a key

Also remember, if there is no time/date stamp on the images you cannot use them in court...
Also if you use a domestic VCR to record on Long play for 8 hours a day expect your VCR to last about 3-6 months, they are designed to record Corrie once a week, not be a security system.
Saying that you can pick up a VCR for about £40 quid at the mooment.
