Lightbulb Bulb supplier ideas???

I need to source a bulb and so far have had no joy.

It's 24 volt 16.8 watt with a small(ish) screw fitting.

btw, this is not for a car, it's for an annoying illuminated christmas snowman outdoor garden ornament type thing that the missus and kids keep nattering at me to fix 'cos "it's just not the same when it's not lit up"

Any info as to where I could get one from would be much appreciated so I can rid myself of the Scrooge image that I currently have

Cheers,
Steve

PS. Season's Greetings to all (bah humbug!)

Steve

Had the same issue when some stupid bulb blew in something I had - oh yer, my garage door opener light, and it was 24v. Only place I could get it was to find the local Ford Trucks dealer (given trusks use 24v rather than 12) and he had one in stock - plenty of them in fact. Best bet is try them.....

Andy

PS Took me about 2 weeks before I twigged this would work!

As above

All trucks over 7.5 tonne use 24v so any parts dep for them should be able to help

http://uk.farnell.com/jsp/home/homepage.jsp are another supplier of harder to get electronic parts and seem to have more selection than Maplin.

Cheers guys I'll have a browse and see if I can find one.

I'd thought about 24v vehicle bulbs but the one I want is a screw fitting which I thought wouldn't be used in trucks?

It's also a weird wattage at 16.8 watts?

Strange to say, but at this time of year, you may get one at B&Q etc.

Also, try Yell.com for lighting specialists.
