I'm 22 and own a MY93 WRX, last year when i was 21 insurance was 2k, this year i've got trade insurance at about he same cost plus it insure's my to drive anything. But the draw back is that the excess is 10% of the vehicles value and you only get trade price back on any damage.

Im 23 and drive a 93WRX, insured with privelege (0113 2436855) 5 yrs NCB, £1300+£650 XS. They allow you up to 10% BHP increase, and up to £250 on styling(including lowering) with no extra cost. Not bad I think.

I was 22 when i got my STI-V Type R - with a full Blitz system the insurance was 1650 with 500xs through OPI (they are in Brum somewhere).
I got my Skyline when i was 23 and the insurance was hiked 'slightly' to 3000 through OPI - shopping around i got it down to 2500 with 500xs through Performance Marques. Obviously this is a silly amount to pay - and that's why it's for sale (see 'for sale' section)

I was 18 when i got my sport, I wanted a turbo but the least insurance quote i could get was 3000-4000 like yourself, needless to say that I didn't get a turbo. I'm waiting until 21 where it should have gone down quite abit

I'm 21 and paying £1700 with £900XS and Track Day cover with Privilage.
Looking at the posts above it seems privilage are the best for people of our age, so I'd suggest you give 'em a call.
Also I decreased my premium by £200 by increasing the XS by £400... which to me seems like a good deal.

I'm 24, MY99 UK Turbo, just renewed with Barclays, £987 6 years NCB, clean licence, £100 excess. Been insured with Admiral since getting car in Nov 98, cost then £540 and last year £850. Barclays are currently offering to beat ANY renewal figure, hope it helps,
