Thumbs up

ecutek 3 plus fuel pump plus 3" decat plus induction plus regulator = 325bhp/300ft/lb, but do your brakes and suspension first

How much power would you expect with just a fuel pump upgrade and a remap?

About 20 BHP less than the car with the exhaust. I wouldn't bother with the fuel pump at that either.

P1 suspension with good geometry and tyres is quite nice, suits my car with +170BHP over a P1 with a load of Whiteline bits (IMHO the rear ARB and antilift/castor kit are the priorities) and a front diff. I think it is better than a lot of so called "upgrade" suspension which just doesn't have the compliance that the P1 stuff has and could easily slow you down over the bumps and in the twisties. Brakes are definitely worth doing.

Cheers John, think I'll just go for the remap, more stealthy come claim time(or is it).

I agree about the brakes too, it was the first thing I changed.

ECU flashes need to be declared. Arguably the P1 in standard tune is near enough to the edge considering the restricted breathing. Getting 20 BHP out of it with just a remap is an option, not one I'd choose.

Hi mate, have you registered on P1WOC? Do you have a Subaru warranty and are you worried about losing it?

Surprised no one's mentioned monitoring. Get a knocklink and get used to driving with it before changing stuff.

Go for the decat and try an air filter upgrade - "STi" or "Green Panel" types seem well regarded. Port the standard headers and get a remap. Depending on how that little lot performs, you might then look at a fuel pump and fpr depending on how the car performs when WOT(ing).

Regarding suspension etc. Whiteline drop links and rear ARB and the ALK would be worthwhile upgrades. Get four of the best tyres that you can find first off. I'm running Goodyear F1 GSD3s. They're squirmier than some, under power but they don't tramline the car and make it leap all over the road either.

BTW: do the brakes first. There's a Bloke called Stuart W on P1WOC who does hybrid AP disks with Wilwood callipers. Godspeed also have a good rep.

J.

Baz a tek 3 remap = £650 + vat or wait till group buy they are quite frequent.
I got P1 with full decat, fuel pump/reg and remap by Bob Rawle 300+bhp and of course bigger brakes.
