NON TURBO UK SPEC 2LTR engines
anybody doing any engine mods to std un-messed with 2ltr non turbo engines,
am looking to do some up-grades in the engine department anyone doing anything to squeeze more power out of it.
its easy to throw a turbo in but i fancy something different and don't want a diesel .

u can buy super charger kits for them which mate them run around the 160bhp mark, the standard engine is around 120bhp depending on which year u have,
what i did which i thought was the best way to hike the power (because the regs state u cant run forced incudtion) Was drop a legacy 2.5 engine in, which is 180 bhp out of the box, then did some head work, and remap and it made 200bhp with the mods off the 2.0 lump used on the 2.5 na lump, that mated to a type r v6 4.444 box and turbo hyrdo clutch made for a pretty nippy car

seems weird that a 2.5 still puts out less than my old 2.0

The hawk n/a is a 2ltr engine with 170 bhp, classic sports are either 115 or 125 ps depending on the year.
The engine and gearboxes are totally different to that of the turbo cars so you are limitedto what you can do with them.

Normally aspirated 2.0ltr Classics are about 115, Bug/Blob's are about 125 and the Hawkeye and the Hatch are quoted at 150bhp!
