Default 60K Service

Any recommendations of garages for 60K service in Reading area?

(other than SGT and Bulldog)

They sell 'dogs' - or at least the one I saw. When looking to buy a scoob I phoned them having seem their advert for saloon on a an s plate. Excellent condition for it's age 1 owner....

well if you could have seen the state it was in - dings, scratches on the bodywork and it needed a lot of attention.
The inside was disgusting, seats worn and it stank of god knows what. I took my boyfriend and his mate with me and we took one look around it handed back the keys and walked straight off the forecourt. Simply told him it was'nt what I was looking for!
Apart from the fact it turned out to be a wagon.

Perhaps everything else is top notch - I just have'nt experienced it.

As for SGT - the less said the better.....

Bit of a trek I know but I live in near Reading and I always make the trip up to TSL in Nottingham. They really know what they are doing and I have total trust in the work they carry out. You can stand beside the car while they do the work. Am sure other people on hear would say the same about TSL reputation.

Yes, when I first visited Bulldog, I was originally looking for a classic and have to admit that the silver V Reg one on offer was pants - probably like the one little'un viewed. There was a nice blue bugeye next to it and the contrast was massive - so much so that my wife fell in love with the bugeye.

Anyway, I think that Bulldog servicing dept. seems OK to me.

ty for the advice - I have nothing against Bulldog or SGT it's just that I know about them and was making sure I knew what my options were before handing over the cash. I've only had the car 3 weeks so I want a decent job done and not get ripped.
FYI - Loads of scoobs in Reading but no bugger waves - too cool or just miserable?

I always wave around Reading and everywhere else, even to old men in non-turbo scoobs - and even when I'm walking down the road - talk about stark raving loony......

For servicing/mods etc., don't forget to consider Len at 'Subaru4You'. For me, it would be a toss up between him and Bulldog, with both quoting much the same for a 50,000 mile service with cambelt change on my Bugeye.

On your advice I have booked the car in with Len on Tuesday - seems like a nice bloke. Just hope he can sort out the little niggles I have.

I'll look for you waving at the side of the road :-)
