after having the same setup fitted back in feb, I can safely say that unless your doing trackdays every week, you dont need the ceramic pads, normal redstuff pads will be fine.
ceramics are very noisy for day to day driving, and will take a while to warm up + cost a lot more than redstuff pads.
going to get my second pair of front pads fitted today, after about 10k miles, so there lasting well.
otherwise, its an excellent setup, highly recommended, have fun
chris.

Just dug out the original thread from back in feb. After some confusion between ebc and dealers, it comes to the conclusion that red stuff all round is more than adequate for fast road use. Only use ceramic if your going on track lots.

Laser_ed, I have an apology to make to you
Just had my new brake pads fitted today, and guess what, they were ceramics!
Turns out ebc dont do a "normal" redstuff pad, its ceramic redstuff or greenstuff.
Took my old pads off, and after over 12k of pretty hard motoring, they had started to crack across the middle. I had them looked at because of an annoying rattle I was getting from the front drivers side, turns out this was a bit of metal off the pad rubbing against the disc, like a wear indicator, which was a good thing
So, when I said "dont get ceramics, cause I had heard they were noisy and took a while to warm up", bollocks, I've been running them for the last 7 months with no squeels and no fade
So, sorry, get ceramics, there brilliant
chris.
