Check your tyres!!!

Check your tyres!!!
On the way to work today I approached a roundabout and exited with a nice wedge of gas to find myself winding on an armful of opposite lock.
Which would have been fun if intended but it was not and in a busy industrial estate...
Any way, got to work and had a look at my back tyres... not illegal but getting there and due to time of year, damp, cold, leaves etc the gip levels are way down.
Just thought I would share that with you all
Now got to try and find myself some decent tyres for the winter..

my 2 pennies worth would be on Verdestein ultracs - cheaper than the toyos and they are really good in the wet as well as dry (having said that anything would be better as the old perelli's we bald!) - go to mytyre.com for prices

I'm going to need new tyres before the winter too, had a similar experience on a tight bend on a woodland road when it was only slightly wet,
Does anyone recommend any Michellin tyres as I am a member of a trade retail warehouse that sells these at trade prices?

Similar thing happened to me at the weekend. Nice 90mph left hander (on my private race track) and the back end stepped way out. Checked the tyre pressures when I got back and instead of 1.9bar in the offside rear there was 0.35bar!!! That'll be due the large nail that I found in the middle of the tread then.

I have PzeroCorsa's now for over 6 months and nothing can touch their performance (wet or dry )
Before I had GSD3, S-03, PzeroNero's but those Corsa's are 'tha ****".
As soon as theyhave heat in them, I can outbrake, corner and accelerate on any surface, wet or dry.
Just be careful for lot's of standing water or leave's in the road (but you do that with all tyres I think)
Creepy

I put 4 new bridgestone re050's on last week, Bit gutted at only getting 11000 miles out of a set, but I was well impressed with the performance of these tyres.

Have 3,000 mile old front Potenzas and brand new rear Potenzas, braked at 30 going into a right hand bend.....and went straight on into a field through a barbed wire fence. Wire all over EVERY panel, bashed front nearside, but still very driveable.
Wheels locked up, no ABS despite reapplying pedal (HARD!) and unable to steer, all at about 30mph in the rain at 6 a.m., with no frost.
About £4000 to fix (on the insurance).
Surely it shouldn't do this? Any suggestions? Tyres are still immaculate
And worse thing is, car will be off road for 10 days being repaired
I'm fine though, thanks for asking!
