Default Scooby owner @ dono today.

Nice one mate....

Guy spins his car under a red flag....Like whole of back straight and spins in the esses.....

I used my brakes, guy behind me didn't and I now have a £1000 repair bill cause you either can't drive or should not be on track....

Nice one.

It's a bummer I know.

"But you pays your money and takes your chances". If track days were based on driving ability they would quickly go broke!

Dust yourself down and get on with it.

Agreed on that.....

But red flag means u slow down, if you can't drive slow then u should not really be on a race circuit IMHO....

I tried to talk to the guy then, but if ya in an escort and you complain they kinda think, yes but the scoob owner was not doing any thing wrong....

Just frustrating tbh.....

was a rather stupid and thoughtless action whoever you are scoob driver. tbh there was some real novice driving today, we had just been pushed off track by a caterham in the same session as dings shunt, the caterham driver (who apparantly had an instructor sat by his side) denied all knowledge when asked afterwards what the **** he was thinking, quality driving and instruction is that!! looking in a mirror aint that hard, was bad enough that no-one else seemed to bother to indicate when moving over so it just made overtaking very cheek clenching at times as you didnt know if they'd seen you or not (and there was lots of overtaking aye ding )

I thought red flag meant stop and wait for marshall instructions

RED FLAG
The race has been stopped, usually because a car is lying in a dangerous position after an accident or because conditions are too poor for racing to be safe.

Loverly car btw always wanted an escort

Owch....that a mint looking 'scort too, very few about like that aren't full of filler (not implying anything - just every alledged mint one round here is like that )

Sound like your typical track day tunnel vision - red flag...what red flag?

Red under most track days means the following.

Slow down - hence me saying.
Stay on right hand side to let emergency vehicles pass you on the left.
Leave the track via the pit entrance or stop where marshall is telling you to.

You still need to slow down so u cant hit the marshall.

As it aint a RACE i guess its slightly different.

On track its knock for knock, how ever the owner of the car that hit me has offered to help pay for the damage which is a good result, but as he is a mate, no harsh words have been said and it was all done with out raised voices.

Car's looking good apart from the damage It looks like a proper rally escort now because they all had their rear corners damaged like the from a swinging rear end I can't wait to see this car in action
