New age wrx spoilers
Anyone else think the low level spoiler is a bit pants compared to the sti 4 spoilers of old???
Not wanting to start an argument here but when i look at the sti spoiler it looks an awful lot better than the regular wrx one.

can never make up my mind - there has been a few well sorted bug eyes with the low level spoiler that looked good
a std car with the std spoiler looks beter than a std car with the sti spoiler

I like to think of it as more TVR 450 SEAC.
I have never been a big fan of the newage 'tea tray' wings they look like a 13 year old designed and built it out of inch ply board IMHO. EVO wings look better, they don't have the plastic that sits on the boot lid between the uprights.
I would like to see a WR1 on my drive though!

Scott Lowe, i *think* has a load of genuine STi spoilers that are ready sprayed I know they are significantly cheaper than your Scoob dealer but dont know how much.
You would have to e-mail him, he goes under the name of Megabusa on here

I had a STI8 rep spoiler fitted yesterday - £400 inc paint and fitting (he comes to you to fit it), the thing is a perfect rep apart from the led being red not white (he says it would infringe copyright if he had a white led).
driving along the M1 at a steady speed :-) the wing didn't vibrate at all unlike the origional ones

I agree with WRX Rich, the Sti spoilers look naff on a standard WRX. I like this one, http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/trolley...wingstyle2.jpg because it is not too high.

The WRX spoiler is fine for the over 35's.
If I'd bought an STi, I'd have changed the spoiler for the low level one, the STi spoiler looks riduculous and that bonnet scoop would have to go too!!!
And don't get me started on those awful gold wheels.
The STi's are great cars, but they stand out to much for me and shout "young boy racer" at everyone that see's them.
Just IMO of course.

Mine just looks like a WRX with a big bonnet scoop (which does considerably more than the small one i may well add!)
As to gold alloys, well they are BBS ones and better looking than those you get on a wrx so....

One thing that put my step dad off an Sti was the looks, that wing and gold wheels scream I'M A CHAV imho
Can you ask for the standard WRX anthracite wheels when ordering an STi?
As fo rthe low level spoiler, yes it also looks a bit pants. I did see a very nicely modded blob eye with no spoiler at all, it looked immense!

Its not pants, and the car with no spoiler, well you get the 16 inch Spec C with no spoiler, its just a weight saver.
If you dont want the attention then get the low level spoiler that doesnt vibrate, for attention, the high level one that does

ive got a my04 wrx with the spoiler raiseres from tsl on the standard spolier, it looks awasome, no where near as over the top as a sti, and not as dull as standard.

Well, I'm only 24 and I like the low level spoiler
I was toying with the idea of changing it before, but I have now given up on that idea, because I like how the rear window flows into the boot, and IMHO the low level spoiler gives the car a nicer stance. The back of the car has enough 'agressiveness' for me with just a TSL Firestorm backbox.
Personally, I reckon a bodykitted WRX would look excellent with the standard wing, but I have been known to have weird views
The only thing I'd like to change visually on the car at the moment are the standard black side skirts and perhaps some eibachs or prodrive springs.

Oh come on people! This is the road going variant of a rally car we're talking about here, not a jumped up XR2i with ideas beyond its abilities Scoobies and Evos aint supposed to be subtle. If you got it, flaunt it!
