Strangers, cars and mates.....
Just thinking - in light of the comment made HERE, by Hugo (don't panic - not having a go!!!), he made a good point :
you hear about all the negative stuff (theft, damage by strangers etc), but not about positive stuff.
So I thought I'd start a post about changing this impression!
Aside from the usual school kids and general passers-by stares, I've made a couple of friends from us talking as complete strangers.
First one was when I was p1ssed up in a kebab shop, and a bloke came in after parking his Scoob up outside. I made some comments - he looked a bit wary, but chatted. I found out that he lived up by my parents (where I was staying at the time - nightmare move from hell), so on my stagger back home, I went via his house, had another chat with him, and we've been mates ever since.
Anybody else got tales of friendship from talking to strangers etc?
Dan

I have to say it but Scoobies have changed my life......not meaning to sound over the top but since owning Scoobs (on my 2nd) I have made lots of new friends, been to loads of meets, action and track days, learnt a lot about cars, do a lot of my own servicing/maintenance etc, had my fair share of waves and flashes from other Scooby owners and best of all get to listen every day to the glorious soundtrack that is the Boxer Beat
