Sorry to hear it. Isn't NCP meant to be secure? Not a manned one?

Angry Fooking NCP waste of time.

Sorry to hear about that, my mate parked there last week his car was also nicked. Lovely black MY03STI owned from new, only six months old.

Diskloc, Secure Carpark, RAC Trackstar and the usual alarm etc. Result = Car gone, RAC didn't even know. Not what you expect.

Chased through the city centre at 130mph when the police gave up as it was going too fast. Can't fault the coppers!

But NCP on the other hand, grrrrr. How the **** can somebody overide all the security and drive it out of there without anyone knowing?

RAC were unable to trace the car. We hope its gone for good now, who wants it back now its probably clipped curbs and all sorts at those speeds.
Makes you wonder if NCP understand what the word secure means!

That place is like a Bermuda triangle for Subarus.

Cheers
David

That's terrible news! Any CCTV footage from the car park? They would have looked very suspicious trying to get that disclock off; it's a good 10min job even for a pro! Is the Tracker working? Birmingham seems to be a bad area for Scoobies!

I hope it's found undamaged, or at the very least you get a great settlement and can rejoin the proud owners club very soon.

Once again, really sorry to hear your bad news. I hope they catch the theiving scumbags and stick their ***** between the rollers of a rolling road!

Best.

These have got to be an inside job or at least some assistance.

Sorry to hear about your loss mate, hope it gets all sorted.

I've thought similar things myself ... and even know a few coppers who'd lend a hand. what a sh!tty state of affairs when coppers are willing to do that to get justice

Sorry to hear your loss.

They must have CCTV in there, especially in this age of terrorism.

The the cover of the car park must give them enough time to remove the tracker and everything else..

Thats 3 scoobs in quick time from bham airport..they should setup a sting and catch em...

Thanks for the sympathies guys. No results/finds this morning.

They must have been pretty persistent and knowledgable to get a discloc off and bypass the Cat 1.

It's dawning on me the long list of 'uninsured' bits that are going to cost me dear - the SS exhaust/radio/EQ/Amps/17" aloys/harnesses/330mm disks & Pagid's/anti bump steer mod etc etc Quite depressing really and makes me want to have it back.

As for Tracker - well I would have considered having that to be fitted to be in the best interest of the insurance company. I however thought it unfair that they wouldnt offer me a penny off the insurance premium for me stumping up and paying the subscription. Its their greater cost at the end of the day.

As a parting shot the copper yesterday suggested the NCP might be liable... I think at £60 for a week's open air parking they b well should be!

on a slightly different note, if anyone needs to fly out of Luton Airport I can recommend a secure monitored, 24hr guarded car park only 5 mins away. PM me if you want details, don't want to advertise!

Ohh and yes it's all on CCTV - well the 'sneaking' out hot on the heels of the FTO they also nicked is on tape at least. NCP were very aware of the theft but hadn't told the coppers. Would have been nice to avoid me walking 'round the carpark for an hour thinking I was going mad and had forgotten where I'd parked it

Angry NCP - Bermuda Triange of Subaru

Just had a word with Rich, Norwich Union told him this morning that his car is the seventh (yes you read that right - the seventh!) on going vehicle claim they are dealing with from that location. They didn't give him any details about the others but certainly sounds like NCP is more of a showroom for car thieves than a 'secure car park'.

Trackstar have never managed to find anything, so I do not have much faith in the system I bought from them.

What reason did they give for not phoning the boys in blue?

Mate they gave no reason, which was why I felt a bit better when the coppers said 'we havent heard of one going last night'.

Diesel,

Gutted to hear about you theft. Can't believe that NCP didn't alert the Police as soon as they noticed the theft. Hope that they've refunded you the cost of the parking! Wanchors.

Which car pard was it at BHX? I use it occasionally but either park in the longstay (left at roundabout) or the new multi story (right at roundabout) if I'm only away for a day.

I'd be prepared to bet money there is someone working there thats tipping the thieves off. It happened in Bristol a few years back at a local cinema, the guards were directing all the nice cars round the back to park out the way of people coming and going, and they were being nicked

I'm shocked D. I've had a car stolen before and it's not pleaseant. I have a disclok and believed it was a pretty safe thing to have but I guess if they have enough time/right tools then they car remove anything

Perhaps the old hidden kill switch would cause them problems?
