I'd base your answer on if the miles are genuine based on the responses of the seller. (And who the seller is)
If private ask why it has low milage. You may find that the car was bought as a weekend toy.
My Dad sold his TVR with 18000 miles on it after 5 years (I woulda sooooo driven it more but the B***ard sold it three months before i was 17 (think there may have been method in his madness huh )
It was a weekend car lots of sports cars are, Scooby is usually different cos low entry cost and five seats means practical for every day so you don't see as many low milage examples as you would say an Elise

mileage
Check service record, could speak to garage who last serviced it to see if they know the car.
I had a wrx that did 21000 in a year and now have bought 04 sti as the weekend car, speaking to dealer lots of sti's are used on a more limited mileage basis .
I looked at a sti 03 at the dealer I bought my car from and that had also only 7k on the clock

I had the chance to talk to the seller. He told me he didn't abuse the car and drove it daily (he seemed to me frankly)
Also checked out the service record it's ok I think I feel better after your replies
Superloop i think u have a wrx + ppp ... Can u tell me which year and does it really perform better than the 2003 sti uk type ?
I have a last question --- if the car didn't have ordinary service and the mileage had been reduced would there still be a way to understand it ?

When I got my classic it was just over 3 years old and had done just over 13k, I know it was genuine as I bought it off the ex's uncle and new all its history from when he bought it new. It was used as a second/third car for those 3 years and only clocked up the last 4k miles in the last few months when he decided he was selling it. So I reckon the 7k on the STI is probably genuine

don't know why you're worrying mate, the milleage isn't massively low to the point someones clocked it.
for that milleage check the service history, if that tallys up, no worries.
i bought a series mcrae that was 4 years old and it had 30k on it, bought my current scoob at a year old with 9k on it. not all cars get used to the average 12k a year so if all checks out buy it

i can understand your worries, but if you do all you can to satisfy your worries(rac/aa checks etc) then you're doing alot more than most people.
if you're in any doubt the best thing is walk away, but TBH it really sounds like a normal mileage car
