Default 03 WRX side skirts

The skirts on my WRX are black rubber. I have seen a few cars with blue ones. Is this a Subaru part or have they just been painted?

Cheers

So that will be a standard subaru part then?

I assume they will fit an 03 car?

mmm, might have to call and see how much they are...

Just get the ones on yours painted at a local bodyshop. I paid £100 to have mine done, and when I park next to an 04 with them done by Subaru mine are a much smoother finish. Takes a bit of care by the sprayer but an excellent finish can be easily and cheaply done. I used a local bloke in Leeds, but Scoobyclinic would do it for a good price too I suppose.

I got mine painted - easy enough and cheaper than STI skirts, although the STI's have a slightly different shape - moe curvy.

None whatsoever if done properly. Mine are 8 months since being done and have survived scuffs, cleaning etc etc.

I painted them my self 4000 miles ago and not a scratch or chip (used halfords paint)

Had to be carefull when i was polishing them, as they was starting to get shinier than the car

Sand them down to smooth with 1500 paper, then 3 coats of plastic primer >wait 24 hours to dry, smooth with 1500 again, 3 medium coats of paint > wait 24hours >5 coats of lacquer.......then wait for 2 - 3 weeks before polishing them.
Now loads better then Subaru's efforts

When mine was last at the dealers, i was looking at the skirts on their cars, they were painted but left it with a rought texture with sod-all shine. ?
