The latest STIs/WRX how much to the tank
Hi peeps,
Im being forced out of scoobydom just at the moment as the £90 a week to go 500 Miles is getting a bit ott. I plan to return soon with a newun, but what are the real world figures for the new scoobies.
ie how much do you get to a tank. For the time being the 306 will have to suffice mumble mumble. Dont half miss the kick in the pants at 3.5K

Normally a 20 mile drive to work, twice a day
I got 264 before the warning light came on, then 274 before filling up with exactly 50 litres.
Thats 5.48 miles per litre (no idea what that is in mpg)

220-250 miles on £40 Optimax
I did manage 25mpg the other day, but that was under 3k driving on dual-carrageways for 3 hours!

On the last tank I got 301.5 miles to 50.07 litres (low light not on), that's 27.4 MPG, WRX03 PPP. I'd guess I could get another 20 miles before the light comes on.

what is most optimistic mpg expected
at the other end - cruising at 95 in 6th for full tank - what can be expected?

I would reckon somewhere around 150 - 200 for both scenarios, maybe a little more for the motorway.........
Booting the car to the rev limiter in 2nd and 3rd will eat petrol at a huge rate.
