I had a MY99 which racked up 60k miles in 3 years. My dad bought it off me and it is still going strong 2 years later. Lets just say it was driven how it was made to be for the first 60k miles

My MY00 suffered a big end failure at 61k - although I gather that's pretty unusual for a properly serviced UK car. Other than that it was fine until I sold it at 70k.

I bought a MY99 just over 2 years ago (shade under 3 yrs old) with 61k (ish) miles on it and it's excellent. Now got 82k (ish) on the clock and just had the big 90k service - no problems reported.
Car runs like new and has not been on ounce of trouble BUT as stated above a car must have been well looked after servicing wise and be at the right money. I got mine at trade price so I was (and still am) happy. If I sold it now I'd not lose too much on what I paid for it, but I can't see me selling for many years yet.

MY97 STI version 3 113,000 miles. Head gasket went at 110,000 due to over revving on a test drive! Otherwise, been fine for me and previouse 2 owners. I hope the moral is, look after it and it'll be fine. Do warm up and cool down every time and do oil changes regularly.

My MY03 has done 30K now, I suspect the 60K will come up this time next year when it's 2 years old and then 90K when it's 3 (cos I'm loving it and don't want to change at the mo) - the transmissions a bit dodgy and about to be fixed under warranty, but nothing major

MY00 has done 72k and is having a new clutch fitted on Tuesday. I've only had it a few months but it has FSH and the service history just shows usual wear and tear, cam belt at 45k, new tyres every so often, brake pads and discs every 15-20k it seems, regular fluid changes etc.

Well my 91 leagacy turbo has got 190000, its been fine for the five years ive had it, the only major thing i have done is a new g/box @150000! by the end of the year it should have reached well over 200k mark. just look after them & they wont go wrong. warm up cool down, regular oil change & it will be many years of happy motoring!!
