Thumbs up erm...hello

Mornin'...I've jumped ship from seatcupra.net, as my Leon Cupra is going tomorrow, making way for a MY05 WRX Sports Wagon from Litchfield Imports...

I recon I've got a couple of months to wait for the scoob to arrive...so you lot had better be entertaining ;o)

Has anyone got a pic of a car in the new "graphite Grey" colour that's on the way...I'm tempted to go for it, but can't find a pic on-line anywhere...

Spangley thanks guys

Paul

it won't be long before i start tweaking the wrx...i've already looked into some very nice pipes!

if anyone knows saturday's lottery numbers, i'd love to here from them...

Well you are definately in the right place then coz loads of us run 205's as track cars myself included.

Mine spends a lot of time at the Nurburgring, infact i'm off over again next weekend

and as for the scoob this started life as a standard STi as well.

your pug looks bl00dy lovely...our is visually pretty scruffy, but not much can out-corner us around castle combe.

we're sticking to a 1.6 as it still feels strong and seems to rev much harder than most 1.9s? don't you recon that 205s are the most neutral-handling front drivers on the planet...how many other cars can you throw into a corner sideways and come out the other end in a straight line!!

yeah, i think my Sports Wagon is going to prove a very fast way of tranporting our dog!!

Skunk .........

Its from those nice people at TSL. Give Paul or Gavin a ring and they will sort you out. I think it was £80 for the scoob plus the same again for painting then I got it bonded on for £15 locally. Its not functional coz i didnt wanna cut holes in the roof and lining. Opinions are varied on them but i like it

Bristol, there are loads of us on here with 205's ....... scoobyjawa, dream weaver to name but two. I think they both run Mi16's. I prefer my 8valve gutmann though. She runs under 9 minute laps at the nurburgring, which is pretty near the limit and gets it past alot of stuff. There is an incar vid or two floating round on here of me doing it.

I have run the 205 at combe a few times............I can lap in around 1.27 - 1.30 depending on traffic.

Not alot of difference in the 1.6 to the 1.9 ...... better brakes as standard though I guess

Bristol.
The two best things you will ever do to your 205 IMHO is a decent set of tyres, and a good suspension set up. I wouldnt worry too much about the engine. Oh and of course I forgot by far the most important thing which is to know how to drive it.

I have suprised more than the odd one or two drivers in my pug. It only has 140BHP but it corners really well and carrying speed is all important on the track.

The wrx will be along soon enough mate. What sort of warrantty does litcho give? (he is a really nice guy, i drove his spec C a couple of times) Is it mod friendly?

Gutmann

yep, we run de-carbon shocks all round, ebc drilled & grooved front disks, ebc pads, piper zorst, induction..the car is low and corners and brakes brilliantly...it has absolutley no body roll...

what tyres do you recommend without breaking the bank??

Iain's new scoobs come with the pan-european 3 year warranty...plus they fit the thatcham 1 alarm as part of the OTR price...

he is a very nice guy...plus i like the fact that he works closely with evo magazine...always providing them with imported cars...

Cool another 205-er joins the clan

Here's my Mi16 (currently with a blown engine, being rebuilt soon)

Possibly buying a mint 405 Mi16 on Saturday as well to join the 205 as a runabout whilst the 205 is being fixed.

I wish Was going to the post office

It was on its way anyway, been burning oil since I got it, then had it diagnosed as bottom end/piston ring failure so it was only a matter of time really. I still bought it though as its a real minter - leather, PAS, EW etc Spent £500 so far on Magnex, brakes, snap off wheel and other things.

Going to be ripping the motor out soon to have a look, but have to flag and fence a large area at my dads first as I have no space here
