Was given a ride in Litchfield Imports new 2005 JDM STI last Friday!
For those that haven't seen one - it looks similar to the current car from the outside (except for the widened rear arches), but inside it is just a delight!
Alcantara covers almost all of the doors (and now the armrests) - new steering wheel, those great orange projected instrument dials, and a great looking new sliver centre console!
Under the skin it obviously has the twin scroll turbo, variable electronic centre diff and lots of "Spec C" suspension components! According to Powerstation most of the rear suspension is aluminium .....
Inside it is noticeable much quieter than a UK 2004 STi with the most amazingly quiet and absorbent (but still extremely taught) ride! It feels sort of "Porsche like"!
This is getting very tempting - even sat next to the 5 Brand New Type 25's in Powerstation on Friday!

I test drove an '04 car that was straight off the boat - the ride was rock hard and seriously uncomfortable. I also tried another car that had Eibach progressive rate springs fitted and it was a massive improvement. So, obviously I ordered mine with the springs - but if the standard ones are now softer I'll save my money and keep it standard.
