My lass took it to work and when she came back said that she got such a fright when the car slid around the roundabout she thought that she had steered to much into the roundabout any clues or is it just normal .ps its good fun tho

Could be tyre condition or type of tyre? Loads of things really. I've never felt that in a Scoob in the time I've been driving them - unless I've really provoked it with a lot of revs

only thing to cause this is lifting off dramatically mid-corner, very badly aligned geometry, badly worn / mismatched / low quality tyres, or fuel spill on the roundabout from a truck.

Things to check:
Cheap brand tyres or low end spec tyres (avons, nankangs etc.)
Worn tyres (less than 4mm)
Incorrect tyre pressures
Old tyres (5 years +)
Good tyres on front, poor tyres on rear (should always have the best tyres on the rear for road use - FWD 4WD or RWD)
Too low a gear
Too late on the brakes
Too sudden with the steering (left, right, left - ohh there goes the back end ).
Lifting off the accelarator mid-bend or on turn in
Normally the damn thing just ploughs wide

when I had my p zero tyre's and they were near the end of there life any 90 degree bend could get the rears sliding ( may be shouldn't have swapped the fronts and rears around )
was mighty fun round town as I didn't even have to brake the speed limit ( probably only sliding a little bit but my girl friend sure did moan and my mates sure did smile )
went to goodyears and this solved the problem, I always feel that these make the car feel more twitchy but then agian that probably becaue you get more feeling and im going quicker )

Tyres are probably the most likely culprit.. more likely mis-matched tyres, rather than just crap tyres.. crap tyres all-round generally balances out!
If you've got decent tyres all round, then geometry is the next thing to check, especially rear toe / bumpsteer.
After that, diffs.
Good luck!
