Default Terzo / Turbo 2000 Ignition Keys

When I bought my Terzo it only had 1 key and I want to get another one cut.

Are these keys "chipped" and only available from Subaru?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

They are chipped on the newer cars, mines a MY00 Classic. I only had 1 key as well and got a spare. To save some cash on it I bought a blank key from the dealer and took it to mister mint to cut it, then took it back to the dealer to program it in. All in it cost about £80.
