Default FUEL

I have a my95 wrx and i believe you can have them re mapped for uk fuel, do you think it would be cost effective to do this or just run it on optimax, also is it ok to run a wrx on standard unleaded and octane booster

I think you should also be using OB with optimax.

Deffo Optimax ~98RON + octane booster to get somewher near the 100RON of Jap fuel. I'm fairly certain remaps aren't easy on my95 models. Reprogrammable ECUs (via a laptop) only came in with the MY99 model.

you can get a scoobyecu which is a board that attaches to your ecu, but really you should be running optimax/super unleaded and octane booster to achieve that magic 100 ron figure, the down side of not running this and ragging your car? 1x blown engine (and it doesnt take long either! )

You should add millers/nf type octane boosters with your fuel from day one really. It takes time for your ecu to adapt to the new mixture (40 odd miles) and by then the damage is done
