How much oil for a WR1 service?
Hi
I have my 1000 mile service on Monday & I'm supplying the oil. I've bought 8 litres, is that enough for a WR1? I remember that my old 99my Turbo took 6 litres, but can't find the info for my new car.

Why you would have £30,000 car and provide your own oil is beyond me...each to their own though

Just like I choose which fuel to use (Optimax), I also choose which oil to use (Catrol RS 10W60) in my car. It doesn't cost me any more & I get good quality oil instead of whatever my dealer can get for the best "deal" at the time.

The first service is free for labour, you just pay for oil & filter.

Cheers Lads,
Although I should really read the thread properly next time
I've had the 1000 mile service, Now on to the 5000!
Has anyone had this yet?
My dealer said they may have to change an hours labour +all the parts. They guesstimated over a tone! remind me again, it is only an oil change and a visual check of a few things

I just checked with my dealer and they said for the 5000 mile power check service it is an hours labour plus parts. They estimate the price to be £120 odd
Anyone else had a quote or actually had the service?

Steel i think what nick is trying to say is that he cares about his car and is concerned about what level of QUALITY oil is put inside his £30,000 car.
Some of us actually know the real truth behind big companies b*ll**** and know that the oil they get is crap and when the WRC team are using MOTUL or something very different to what the dealers get why in the hell would you want to use this cheap crappy oil?
Know your car and what it has inside it even more!
If you dont care about your car then put in whatever oil i guess...
