how long before your first bump
Bought my new WRX MY04 PPP 3 weeks ago. Its blue and I love it.
Wife parked car yesterday - and someone (in a car Park ) has put a small dent in the side of the door near the handle. Its not 'that' noticable but I know its there. From the height of it I think it must have been something like an X5 or similar ...
Can't believe it, have not even had a chance to wash and polish it before getting its first scrape ...
Thats the prob with new cars, the first little mark however small makes you want to cry .....
sigh ....
MArk
p.s. I could rant about uncaring company drivers (or even worse certain women in their hubbys car which is too big for them) - but I will not, its just it makes me think its done because someone does not give a damm .... I do ...

Try this on for size (a few years ago) ...
12.30pm I go and pick up my nice shiny new Golf
1.00pm I arrive home, park on the pavement in front of the house to show my wife.
1.02pm Whilst I am persuading my wife to come and look at the new car I hear a crunch.
Someone had reversed into the front of it and then proceeded to drive of down the street with me chasing them. The partial plate I got wasn't enough to identify the vehicle!

I collected my new (secondhand) MY01 WRX a couple of weeks ago, parked it outside my house and about and hour later my 5 year old daughter rode past it on her bike, fell off and now I have a nice big handle bar shaped dent it the rear door.
Poor kid was so upset at the damage she had done to Daddy's new car that I couldn't even be angry with her !
Kids eh........

I am totally paranoid about parking my car anywhere, always put it in the far corner of the car park with loads of spare space around, still get some *osser opening their doors on it. Used one of those dent removal guys for the first time the other week, amazing results, he took out 9 parking dents & dings from my car for just £120, well worth a try!

I do the same ...
But what Pi**es me off is that I go shopping for the family early on a Saturday. Arrive at the supermarket by 7 am. I park all on my own well away from everything.
Then I get back to the car at 8am and some git has parked right next to me, even though they have about 500 empty spaces to choose from.
I mean why ??? is the car a magnet or something ?

My 3-week old STI UK now has its first wounds of war!!
Tiny marks (no dents), but it is perfect no longer......
Foopin' annoying these eejits with big cars that they can't park.... there's no excuse for it.... my previous motor (Toyota Land Cruiser) could hardly get into any parking spaces.... but I NEVER touched a neighbouring vehicle in 25,000 miles. Managed to scrape just about every corner on various walls, railings, bushes & garages though
Hope you can get it sorted.

The reason all these neds park next to us scooby owners is that they want to be cool by association. I saw a Rover Coupe with HUGE stick on spoiler proceed to park next to the Evo 8 at Broughton Shopping centre, just so he could be with the cool crowd lol Problem was, the evo 8 had at least 60 - 80 Metres of space from any other car

When I was an aprentice I bought a mk1 Fiesta that had failed it's MOT, when right through it, fixed it up for the test, resprayed it and put some pepperpot alloys on it. As I couldn't drive at the time, a colleague took it to the other garage we used for MOTs, the car rolled out of the garage, over a road and into a wall, backwards, niiiice, never even drove it on the road
In Richmond the other day, we were walking back to the car (not the same one), a Rover pulled up next to mine, some fat bird got out and bashed my door so I went mental at her, she claimed "I only hit your wing mirror", like that's OK!

I work for the NHS and travel too many Hospitals and Health Centres. You would not believe the things I see in health centre and hospital car parks. My car is always coming back with dings and scratches. I have learnt to avoid visiting times. The car park turns into a war zone. Every man for himself. It’s got that bad that ive leased my Scooby from Work. Someone else can sort the dints out.
