I wont identify them until it's 100% as I don't want to tread on any toes. I can tell you they are a southern dealership. I 'm confident about posting the possibility that this is likely to happen as I've had serveral conversations with the service manager about it. Just wanted to gauge the interest from the community. Would this be enough to make you switch from your local official dealership?

Depends where it was in relation to your local dealership doesn't it. no point getting £20 off a service if you have to go an extra 50 miles to get it.

independant £86 & included a new alternator drive belt..

All good points.
Obviously there'll be people who are SN Plus and don't want to pay for SIDC too.
In regard to the independent dealer option, I think that is more of issue for those under warranty; i.e. Are you still under warranty if you simply use Subaru parts or do you have to have a Subaru approved mechanic carrying out the work too?
