Hey Salsa do you use MER because it's easy to spell. Seriously though to get the full effect from WW wax takes a lot of time and effort but I think it's worth it. Once the car has been waxed a few times you can really see the difference. It also becomes much easier to wash as flies etc literally just wash away with a hosepipe.

Anyway everyone's entitled to their own opinion it's just that some are more right than others.

i think your right, if you have more money than sence to spend on a polish that shines no differant to other cheaper polishes you need your ed testin'!
i went and saw demo of ww (had front wing done on my car) and think it looks no better than my MER at 1/6 of the cost.
KevinW car looks A1 carnt see any differance, and he uses MER!
think the polish MTR, will bring up it even better. and not costing the earth!!!!!!!

i find i get that 2:30 am type anything 4 the easiest dyslexia!!!! lol

but, how many times do you need to wax a week to see a result with ww? i used my mer 4 the donno day 5th march, not had time to re-do yet, and after a wash and leather down my car still looks pretty good. i do need to wax soon though, summers here, drivin' cruisin' showin', need to look goooood! lol

Whilst I want something decent to make the motor sparkle, WW prices are just stupid. This stuff sounds pretty good though. Know of any suppliers?

If the stuff was repackaged, we could market it as "Impreza Wax", making a tasty 900% profit. Now there's an idea . . .

Just for your information about Mer; it isn't anything like ww and certainly not as good. I know , I used Mer for 6 years and it doesnt come close to the ease of use and protection ww gives.
As for the price, yes it is expensive looking at the comparison but it lasts a lot longer so it works out near enought the same in the long run so no I dont need my head testing
Bottom line is, use what you're happy with.

Great if you can get this wax cheaper! just at the time WW was the only place I found to get this stuff and I, probably like others dont feel I've been ripped off as My 'little tub' will last me ages

Popped down to GRP lunchtime today, and got hold of a tin of Honeywax - £11.87.

Tried it out on the missus' Corsa tonight . . . and I gotta say - absolutely brilliant! I waxed half the bonnet and half the boot leaving the other half as a comparison (true scientific research, obviously!). Its a piece of cake to apply, a small smear covers a large area, and you dont get any real crud when buffing. The effect is superb though - a real mirror shine.

Gonna try it on my other car on the weekend (a blue mica), and if looks good, will then try the scoob.

MTR, got some and dolloped it on my motor. Makes driving in the rain a pleasure watching clear beads of water leaping overboard!! The car shines like an M&M!! Cheers mate.

Even more impressively, I used the remains of the pre wax paint cleanse stuff Mark sent me as a sample on a friends K reg Mini (just the bootlid as a test) where the paint had gone matt and looked porous. What a difference a clean makes!!!

Dolloped on some carnauba and the difference was incredible, the rest of the car looks so shabby. I have another couple of people who want to give it a go too.

I'm happy with the Carnauba "Honey Wax" I've got but I will certainly be buying (and recommending) Mark's pre cleanse and probably his wheel and glass stuff too on Sunday.

I'd be very worried about any long term effects of this. If you look on the web site they say

"Compounded with the purest grade carnauba wax, plus special binders and spreading agents"

So what are the special binders going to do to your car, seeing as they are designed purely for a a mold release agent!

Put it another way, if someone asked you would you use a mold release agent on your car, I doubt many of you would!

thank you for the money saving information. I bet there are a good few people out there now who feel as though they have been ripped off. If the stuff is identical, which it seems to be, then the Wax Wizard isn't going to be too impressed with you for posting. Still thanks again for the information. Mine will be on order very soon.

I doubt very much that ANYONE feels they have been ripped off by buying WW products. How can they be when they get a quality product, superb customer service and cost effectiveness?

I'm beginning to see a pattern here...

1. Somebody "discovers" a really cool product that does something really impressive for their car.
2. A few more people admit to using this new wonder-product.
3. The manufacturer/supplier steps up and explains how said product works.
4. Loads of people buy the product & rave about it.
5. Some dissenters appear claiming that a cheaper rival product is just as good and that everyone is mad to use the original product.
6. Lots of arguments ensue.
7. Someone blows their car up and blames said product.
8. Manufacturer disappears from the BBS.

I think we're up to No 6. with Wax Wizard!

As a non-user of any wax products, I am continually amazed at the amount of time Mark takes to explain his products, not to mention the length of his replies! (I've always wondered why waxes make plastic trims go white and now I know!)

One day, I will tire of sandblasting the flies off my car. Chances are, I'll buy something from the Wax Wizard.

MTR - thanks for the advice - interesting to know

Saying that, I will stick to WW stuff....mainly because 1) Its designed for the purpose and 2) It comes with full, timely and friendly technical support.

Mark has put in a lot of time and effort to selel here, and deserves the success as much for his attitude and customer care as for the fact that the products are very truly excellent.

There's all sorts of things one can do cheaper - such as servicing. I have little doubt that Bob down the road could do as good a job servicing my Esprit as Lotus - and for about a third the price - but in the long run I pay the extra for peace of mind, long term value and 'guaranteed' results. Thats what I have with the WW stuff, so thats where I'll stay I think...!
