WRX PPP coming - prodrive spoiler ?
Yo all ...
Thanks all who have answered my questions over the last few weeks re an impending purchase. A new, blue WRX (4 door) with PPP is about to be ordered this weekend.
One last hurdle ....
Wife not too keen on the standard WRX spoiler (i do not have a problem with it). She likes the idea of the Prodrive Spoiler. Apart from adding another 500 or so to the price my thoughts are :
1) It looks nice
2) But its like saying you think you have something when you do not (i.e. an STI)
3) Its bound to add more to insurance (over and above the PPP)
4) Is it not a bit silly ?
I quite like the idea of having a standard looking WRX - the only clue being that its been PPP is the exhaust (as I understand it a quite large bore single pipe as replacement for the twin smaller pipes).
Anyone have any thoughts ?
I say no ...
Wife says yes ...
what do you say ?
cheers
Mark

i have one of these on mine and it makes the car look so much better i think, it really complements the "blobeye" IMO. I have a standard one at the moment as a loan car and its just not the same if you want pics (even though mines silver) i can sort that to help you decide

At 500 quid I'd get the prodrive one.
After messing about with a few rear spoilers I got the Prodrive STi wing for my MY02 WRX and paid ........deep breath......£895.
you pays the money..........

not sure if that newer RB5 jobby would suit the car too much, i have seen some ones done by TSL that are kind of STI 5/6 replicas that look ok, i guess its a question of what you want really i like mine

Just drive around with the standard spoiler on for a while, let her get use to the view, then tell her that she wont be able to see behind her if she has the prodrive spoiler, or she may be able to when some ****** rips it off
